Overview:
Implementation of a high-performance, on-premise analytics platform to enable real-time reporting and operational insights for a fast-paced insurance advisory business.
Challenge:
Our client’s existing reporting systems were unable to deliver timely insights due to performance limitations on their production database. This impacted their ability to monitor sales performance, policy activity, and operational metrics in a highly dynamic, sales-driven environment.
Solution:
We deployed a secure, on-premise OQLIS environment within the business infrastructure using Docker on Ubuntu, ensuring full compliance with internal security requirements.
To address performance constraints, we implemented a dedicated analytical data layer using ClickHouse technology. Data pipelines were developed to extract and replicate relevant data from the production SQL Server environment into the analytics layer, enabling high-speed querying without impacting operational systems.
The platform supports near real-time dashboards, including live performance displays used across call center environments to track key metrics such as policies sold, cancellations, and team performance.
In addition, we provided ongoing data engineering support and consulting, assisting with complex SQL logic, data structuring, and visualization best practices.
Outcome / Value:
Delivered a fast, scalable analytics solution that enabled near real-time visibility into business performance, significantly improving decision-making and operational responsiveness.
